ChelPipe to decrease supplies to domestic customers in 2017

In 2017, the Chelaybinsk Pipe Works (ChelPipe) will decrease pipe supplies to its main clients Gazprom, Transneft, Rosneft, and Lukoil. The volumes will start growing again in 2018.

 

According to ChelPipe estimates, Gazprom may receive 205 thousand tons in 2017, down by 25 percent year-on-year, 345 thousand tons in 2018, 532 thousand tons in 2019, and 418 thousand tons in 2020.

 

Sales to Transneft will total 71 thousand tons in 2017 (down 30 percent year-on-year), 78 thousand tons in 2018, 96 thousand tons in 2019, and 111 thousand tons in 2020.

 

Rosneft could buy 11 thousand tons of pipe in 2017 (18 thousand tons in 2016), 14 thousand tons in 2018, 16 thousand tons in 2019, and 18 thousand tons in 2020. In 2017, ChelPipe plans to sell three thousand tons of pipe to Lukoil (four thousand tons in 2016), four thousand tons in 2018, and five thousand tons in each of the years from 2019 to 2020.

 

ChelPipe estimates that its exports in 2017 will be 352 thousand tons, up four times year-on-year. The forecast for 2018 stands at 243 thousand tons, 60 thousand tons in 2019, and 25 thousand tons in 2020.

 

C.I.S. consumption is estimated at 40 thousand tons in 2017, down by 28 percent year-on-year. Consumption is anticipated to increase to 155 thousand tons in 2018, 212 thousand tons in 2019, and 88 thousand tons in 2020.
