St. Petersburg praises best taxpayers

The city government in St. Petersburg gave awards to several area companies and organizations for being the “Best Taxpayers” of 2010. The selected group of 20 taxpaying entities accounts for almost 21.4 percent of the city’s tax revenues and almost 15 percent of the city’s budgetary revenues. The group included commercial organizations that pay at least USD 32.2 million in taxes each year. The companies honored with the “Best Taxpayer” distinction included Gazprom Neft, Sibur Holding, which specialized in petrochemicals, LUKoil – St. Petersburg Trade, Izhora Pipe Mill, the asset of Severstal, Baltika Breweries, Power Machines, and the marine engineering design bureau Rubin.
