Waterway project from South to North is looking for interested parties

A project designed to open navigation along the northwest Volkhov River and a waterway between south Russian regions, with the connection point in Astrakhan, and north-western regions, with the connection point in Veliki Novgorod, is still searching for interested parties who would be willing to invest resources into the venture, according to Novgorod region Governor Sergei Mitin. The grand scale project is expected to cost around USD 5 billion.
