Russian regulatory and supervisory agencies assigned a “guaranteed transparency” designation of “++” in the National Ranking of Procurement Transparency to the republic of Tatarstan in the Volga Federal District.

The rating is compiled by taking surveys of the largest federal and regional buyers, as well as the most significant players of the Russian corporate world. The benchmarks include compliance with the standards of transparency and efficiency in the procurement process.

The transparency ranking determinations and recommendations that are made on the basis of those conclusions are forwarded to the Russian State Duma, the anti-trust service, the Audit Chamber, in addition to a number of international monetary control NGOs.
