Tula regional investment up to USD 2.3 billion

The government of the Tula region in Russia reported that investments in the local economy in 2010 stood at USD 2.34 billion dollars. Foreign investment comprised USD 366 million of that amount. Altogether, 19 major companies were founded in the region last year.

Tula’s most significant foreign investors came from Germany, the U.S., and Holland. The region is a prominent industrial center that has metalworking, engineering, coal mining, and chemical industries
