Trade with the Lipetsk region up in first half of 2011

The trade turnover of the Lipetsk oblast, Russia increased by 28.5 percent on a year-on-year basis to reach USD 3.09 billion in the first half of 2011. The information was provided by the regional office of the Russian Customs Service. Exports soared by more than 17 percent, reaching USD 2 382 million. Imports increased by almost 80 percent to end at USD 762 million. The region pursues trade relations with more than 70 countries around the world, including the countries of the C.I.S. The largest trade partners include China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Ukraine, and the United States.
