Trade between the Leningrad oblast and the U.S. up 50% in Q1

Trade between the U.S. and the Leningrad oblast, which surrounds the city of St. Petersburg, grew fifty percent from January to March 2011 on a year-on-year basis. Thus, the volume of trade for the first quarter stood at USD 70.4 million. The most significant areas of cooperation include health care, transportation, environmental protection, governmental relations, as well as the development of small businesses and medium companies.
