In early August it was announced that members of the Security Council of the Russian Federation are in the near future expected to hold a meeting in the Nenets autonomous district in order to address the subject of creating transportation infrastructure for the Arctic zone. 

Following the session of the Security Council, the participants will tour the icebreaker Yamal. The icebreaker will then host a global forum on the role of the North Sea route in ensuring stability and cooperation.
