New plywood mill worth USD 220 mln. successfully launched

The Krasnoyarsk regional office of VTB has reported that the Yenisei Plywood Mill valued at over USD 220 million recently commenced operations. VTB is one of the biggest project investors. The mill includes the first production line for making wood veneer.

VTB reported that it invested more than USD 170 million in the project. The second investment partner was Glen Worldwide Ltd.

The mill is capable of producing 350 thousand cubic meters of plywood, as well as 100 thousand cubic meters of commercial veneer. The mill will attain its projected capacity in 2012, according to its Director General Mr. Vadim Vasiliev.

The finished materials produced at the mill will be shipped to customers in the United States, Japan, and China.
