According to Vyacheslav Dzirkaln, deputy director for the Russian Federal Military-Technical Cooperation Service, the Russian agency is expecting to sign new contracts with the U.S. in the near future. “We are optimistic about cooperating with the United States. Hopefully, our cooperation will not be limited to helicopters,” Dzirkaln stated. “We plan to spread military-technical cooperation with the United States into new spheres soon,” he said.
