In January 11, 2007, Vietnam formally acceded to the World.Trade Organization as its 150th member. Following Vietnam’s accession, the United States removed quotas for textile and apparel imports from Vietnam. Vietnam and Russia will be two of the last major emerging markets to join the WTO.
