» The profits of Gazprom Neft up 74%

From January to June of 2011, the profits of Gazprom Neft rose by an impressive 74 percent on a year-on-year bases. Computed in accordance with U.S. GAAP, the profit figure stood at USD 2 604 million.

» Novatek’s outlook now stable, according to S&P

The S&P rating service changed its outlook for company Novatek, the biggest privately-owned producer of natural gas in Russia. The new outlook rating assigned to Novatek by the agency is “stable”, up from the previous ranking of “negative”.

» Gazprom will take 14% of global LNG market by 2030

Gazprom set out on implementing a strategy that will allow the gas concern to take as much as 14 percent of the world’s LNG market by the year 2030. As a means of achieving its grand design, Gazprom is hoping to bring online new project capacity of the Shtokman field that will supply 50 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

» Kozmino throughput up in first half of 2011

The exportation of oil through the Kozmino terminal, which is a part of the Port of Vostochny on the Sea of Japan, increased by as much as 5 percent from January to June of 2011. The total volume of fuel exported totaled 7 498 thousand metric tons, or 55.11 million barrels.

» Gas liquefying facility to be created in Novgorod

The Gaz-Oil subsidiary of Gazprom, recently announced plans to construct a plant for liquefying natural gas in the Novgorod region, which is located in northwestern Russia. Company executives commented that the call to realize this project was made during the meeting of Gazprom’s senior-level managers.
