The new drug packaging facility in the city of Kostroma will now locally handle packaging of medications for a wide range of illnesses, such as rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, Crohn’s disease, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and plaque psoriasis. R-Pharm is the name of the new packaging plant, which is launched in partnership with the pharmaceutical manufacturer AbbVie from the United States. Most of the drugs packaged at the facility are aimed at treating the disorders of the immune system. AbbVie’s marketing strategy includes higher localization of its products.

The reported yearly revenue of the company is estimated at USD18 billion.
