Armstrong constructs ceiling plant

Armstrong World Industries, which is based in the U.S., has started constructing a fiber ceiling plant in Tatarstan’s Alabuga special economic zone. The selected area plays an important role in the economy of Tatarstan.

The project is worth approximately USD100 million. The plant is Armstrong’s first project in Russia, and will be launched in the year 2014. It will be constructed at a 10-hectare site and will have an annual capacity of 22 million square meters of ceiling panels. The ceiling plant will give Armstrong a very good chance to increase its presence on the Russian and the C.I.S. markets.
