The Russian nuclear power plant design company NIAEPA Atomstroyexport entered into a software purchase agreement with AVEVA, a leading company in developing design and engineering products. Atomstroyexport’s scientist have developed and are presently utilizing an exclusive Multi-D package that allows for controlling the entire cycle of a nuclear power station, starting from design and development all the way through decommissioning. According to Atomstroyexport’s vice president Sergey Olontsev, the company has acquired substantial experience in the years of its operation, some of which can prove useful in areas beyond the nuclear sector, such as oil and gas, as well as thermal power. The company has a vision to diversify into these fields in the future, all the while enhancing the versatility of the software platform it employs.
The company’s decision to use AVEVA’s software is viewed as a strategic step on the road to increased diversification.
According to the vice president for Russia and the Middle East of AVEVA Mr. Evgeny Fedotov, the software company is excited to act as a partner to Atomstroyexport in expanding the Russian group’s capabilities. Acknowledging Atomstroyexport’s top-notch technical expertise, Mr. Fedotov indicated that the Russian company will only fortify its market domination with the backing of the most advanced AVEVA products.
