American oil company ConocoPhillips continues to seek opportunities for further work in Russia, despite its exit from Naryanmarneftegaz, its former joint venture with LUKOIL, stated ConocoPhillips’ executive Ryan Lance. According to Mr. Lance, the deal to sell ConocoPhillips’ stake in Naryanmarneftegaz was beneficial for both LUKOIL and the American company. As Mr. Lance said, some investments that LUKOIL intended to undertake had no sense for a portfolio of assets that ConocoPhillips holds.
