The Federal Service for Fiscal and Budgetary Supervision, Rosfinnadzor, inspected over 30 000 companies engaged in foreign economic operations last year, a Rosfinnadzor official told an online conference.

In most cases, corporate records and tax statements were verified without visiting their offices, explained Natalya Plotnikova, head of the regulator’s Currency Control Department. The inspectors mainly found minor infractions, such as the failure to submit the required reports on time. The second most frequent violation was more serious, namely the failure to return the exported capital into Russia, she added.
