Five car plants to be built in Kaliningrad
Kaliningrad Region Governor Nikolai Tsukanov said that investment agreements are being drafted to build five car plants in Russia’s exclave on the Baltic Sea coast.
The project, to be implemented by car assembly company Avtotor, envisions the construction of the plants and a town for 20 000-30 000 residents.
Avtotor’s integrated investment project to establish an automotive cluster in the region includes full-cycle automobile manufacturing lines and is planned to be completed by 2018.
