Before the end of 2013, GAZ Group will deliver 709 GolAZ large and extra-large class buses with the value of over six billion roubles to service the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014, the press service of GAZ announced.

The buses will be operating on major routes between the Olympic venues. Contracts for the supply of buses were made between GAZ Group and Mostransavto, the main transportation operator for the Olympics. As part of the contracts, 282 large-class GolAZ-5251 Voyage buses will be delivered, including 150 buses for passengers with reduced mobility and wheelchair users. Additionally, extra-large class GolAZ-6228 370 buses will be produced, including 77 units with accommodations for handicapped passengers. 57 GolAZ-52911 Cruise coaches will also be assembled.
