Gas exports to Europe cut by 17 percent

Gazprom in the first half of 2012 cut gas exports to Europe by 17 percent to 71.93 billion cubic meters from 86.6 billion cubic meters in the first half of 2011. These figures are presented in the financial statements of the company according to Russian accounting standards. Exports to Western Europe were at 54.87 billion cubic meters. Exports to Germany stood at 17.13 billion cubic meters of gas, to Turkey at 14 billion cubic meters, and to Italy at 6.62 billion cubic meters. Exports to Central Europe were 17.05 billion cubic meters, with the highest volume of 5.03 billion cubic meters going to Poland.
