Gas production in Russia in January 2013 increased by 3.7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 65.518 billion cubic meters. Exports grew by two percent to 19.572 billion.
Russia’s largest gas producer Gazprom increased its production by 2.7 percent to 48.931 billion cubic meters in the month of January. NOVATEK in January extracted 4.694 billion cubic meters of gas, a figure that is 5.3 percent over the result of January 2012. The oil companies produced 6.293 billion cubic meters of gas, 7.3 percent over the performance results for January 2012. The domestic consumption of gas in Russia in January fell by 0.7 percent to 54.021 billion cubic meters.
