The year 2013 brought record ‘evenues for Herbalife, the American seller of biologically-active food supplements and personal hygiene products. The third quarter of the year alone brought the company a percent increase in revenues on the Russian market compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. As such, revenues stood at USD6.5 million. The company’s overall revenue from the start of the year until September was USD70 million in 2013.
The third quarter of the year produced faster growth for the company compared to the second quarter of 2013. The growth momentum during the two middle quarters of the year increased from 25.6 percent to the aforementioned figure of 27.8 percent.
There are several factors at play on the Russian market that led to the company’s increased sales. Herbalife recently introduced its Commercial Nutrition Club format, which reportedly helped boost sales. The company also opened additional outlets across the country, improved its market positioning strategy and signed the sponsorship contract with the soccer club Spartak.
Herbalife is a public company, whose stock is traded on the New York exchange. The company brings to the market healthy dietary goods, items of personal hygiene, weight control products, as well as food supplements for various purposes.
The entire company saw an 18-percent increase in revenue during most of 2013, with the revenue figure reaching USD3.4 billion. The third quarter of the year alone brought the company a 19-percent increase in revenue, taking the three-month profit to USD1.2 billion.
