In January 2013, electricity consumption in Russia was at 101.3 billion kilowatt-hours, which is 1.5 percent more than the figure reported in January 2012, said the UES System Operator OAO UES. January’s electricity consumption within the Unified Energy System of Russia amounted to 99 billion kilowatt-hours, a figure that is also 1.5 percent above the consumption level reported in January 2012.
