Increase of oil and gas reserves

The increase of oil reserves in Russia in 2012 reached 681 million tons. The increase of gas reserves stood at 816 billion cubic meters. These results were cited by the Minister of Natural Resources Sergei Donskoy at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the Central Supervisory Control Entity for the Fuel and Energy Sector, Russia produced 518 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 655 billion cubic meters of gas in 2012. Thus, the ratio of oil reserves replacement was 131 percent. The ratio of gas reserves replacement was 125 percent.
