The Ministry of Economic Development has lowered the forecast industrial production growth for 2012 from 3.6 percent to 3.2 percent, Deputy Minister Andrei Klepach told reporters. The Deputy Minister noted that consumer demand also decreased from 6.1 percent to 5.7 percent, which was accounted for in the previous forecast. Deputy Minister Klepach also reported a slowdown in the growth of wages. According to the Deputy Minister, while in September the growth was estimated at 9.1 percent, now, the average growth is eight percent. The decline in consumer demand is associated with consumer lending difficulties, said the Deputy Minister of Economic Development.
