Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council, founded in 1994, is a major non-profit organization in the Mid-Atlantic region that provides information and services related to Russia and the C.I.S. MARBC conducts more than 25 events annually in the United States and organizes American participation in more than 10 events in Russia – with an emphasis on industries, in which the Russian market offers the greatest opportunities, including advanced technology, energy and environment, pharmaceuticals and bio-technology,*advanced materials/nanotechnology, manufacturing technology, information technology, transportation,*instrument production, communications, air, space and surface*transportation, agriculture, robotics, and security, among others. The*most*well-known events organized by MARBC are the semi-annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Weeks. MARBC has been actively involved in fostering cooperation with various regions in Russia. A major focus of MARBC’s efforts in recent years has been the establishment of the Mid-Atlantic region as a leading partner for Russian-American technological cooperation.
The recent summit of the American and the Russian Presidents in Washington, D.C. highlighted the continued importance of Russian-American relations and the need to discuss their future development. The Mid-Atlantic region, home to the oldest and strongest connections between the U.S. and Russia in the fields of commerce and technology, as well as diplomatic and cultural exchange, continues to be at the center of future cooperation. With the aim of helping to chart the future of these advances in bilateral relations, MARBC invites you to several upcoming events that focus on the opportunities of this important moment in Russian-American cooperation.
The Mid-Atlantic – Russia Business Council would like to invite you to the Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Weeks (RANIT). This important group of events devoted to technological cooperation between Russian and American businesses is organized by MARBC to bring together entrepreneurs, scientists, venture capitalists, and established corporations from American and Russian technology communities.
MARBC is pleased to announce that the 13th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT) will take place simultaneously with the Days of Russian-American Innovation Entrepreneurship Cooperation. Activities for both events will start in Philadelphia and the Mid-Atlantic region on November 8, 2010 with an opening ceremony at the Philadelphia City Hall. 2010 marks the 15th anniversary of the Biennial Russian-American Business Opportunities Symposium, and there will be a celebration to commemorate this event.
One of the leading events will be the 6th Annual Russian-American Technology Entrepreneurship Conference in Philadelphia. Additional events will include a roundtable at the International Incubator at the Science Center. MARBC is also organizing Russian participation in the IMPACT 2010 conference on November 9-10, 2010 in Philadelphia. IMPACT is one of the biggest and oldest venture capital events in the United States.
From June 23 to June 30, 2011, MARBC will be organizing the 14th Semi-Annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Week (RANIT-BIO), our most important event devoted to technological cooperation between Russian and American businesses. Held in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C., the 14th RANIT will concentrate on biotechnology, nanotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry, the chemical industry, and the life sciences. RANIT-BIO will open on June 23, with a welcoming ceremony and the Russian-American Life Sciences Conference at the Philadelphia City Hall. The 2011 conference will be designed to see increased involvement by key Russian and American policymakers, including the Health and the Business Development Working-Groups of the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission. The Russian-American American Life Sciences Conference, Russia Country Seminar at BIO, and additional Russian-American Innovation Technology Week programs and activities are designed to help foster dialogue and cooperation in those areas. The 14ht RANIT-BIO will conclude with the 2011 BIO International Convention, which is the largest and the most significant biotechnology event in the world, from June 27-30, 2011, in Washington, D.C., with the Russian program organized by MARBC, the official organizer of the Russian delegation at BIO.
