The International Paper Company awarded a maintenance contract for one of its paper mills in Svetogorsk, Russia to the global construction and engineering firm KBR, Inc.
The contract value, which has not been disclosed yet, will be entered into KBR’s third-quarter books retroactively. Approximately for 10 years, KBR, Inc. has been delivering a complete spectrum of services to the Svetogorsk mill, with the primary goal of heightening the enterprise’s accuracy and precision. The new contract has been issued for three years. The agreement provides an option for reviewing the terms of the contract in the second or the third year of operation.
According to Darrell Hargrave, who is the president of KBR, Inc., his company understands the importance of reliable performance and takes seriously its commitment to enhance its client’s technical operation, bringing it to world standards. KBR, Inc. has had a good relationship with International Paper for many years.
