The Naberezhnye Chelny-based Russian auto maker Kamaz has finalized its investment program for the year 2014. In line with company targets, Kamaz, which is the 13th biggest producer of freight trucks globally, will make monetary outlays in the amount of USD285 million. This figure is the same as the one budgeted for in the current year. In line with the company’s strategy, Kamaz will make production expenditures totaling USD2 billion up until the year 2010. From 2013 to 2015, cumulative investment will stand at USD918 million. The investment program is founded on the company’s anticipated sales results for the year 2015, which have been forecasted at 60,000 units.
The sales of the Russian truck maker last year were around 40,000 units. In the first half of 2013, the car maker produced 20,400 units, a figure that reflects an 11-percent decrease compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
