Moesk opens car charging stations

Russia’s first charging stations for electric vehicles opened in Moscow a few days before the end of 2011, according to Moscow United Electric Grid Company, or Moesk. Official Mitsubishi leader Rolf Import presented and handed over several electric cars to Moesk during the launch ceremony, which also included launching the charging stations and demonstrating their control system.

During its Moesk-EV project, the electric grid company plans to establish 28 charging stations of several types in Moscow and the Moscow region by the end of 2011. Fifteen of them are designed for 8-10 hours of charging, ten for 4-5 hours, and three for 20-30 minutes of charging.
