NOVATEK commenced the fourth stage of the second phase of development at the Yurkharovskoye field. The progress of work carried out allows the company to achieve designed production capacity at the field.
The fourth stage of development entails the erection of gas treatment facilities at the site capable of handling seven billion cubic meters of gas per year. Taking the treatment facilities to operational condition will permit NOVATEK to augment the production of gas at Yurkharovskoye to 36.5 billion cubic meters. This number is expected to stay at a plateau level.
In addition, NOVATEK announced that it was completing the final series of analyses at the first stage booster station. The booster station consists of three 75 MW compressors. It is expected that the booster station will support sustainable production.
Leonid*Mikhelson, the CEO of NOVATEK, praised the company’s engineers for launching the fourth stage at Yurkharovskoye on schedule, adding that the company has plans to apply the knowhow it acquired as a result of implementing that project at other similar sites, including Yamal LNG and SeverEnergia.
