NovaMedica and U.S. joins AptalisPharma

The NovaMedica pharmacological company from Russia and AptalisPharma from the United States reached an agreement to develop and bring to the Russian market new gastroenterological drugs. NovaMedica representatives announced that three new commercial drugs will be developed for the Russian market: Pylera, Lacteol, and Panzytrat. NovaMedica will perform drug testing, research, and registration in accordance with Russian regulations. Between 2014 and 2015, the new medications will become available to consumers, provided the approval process goes as expected.

The new medicines will target one of the most common health problems in the Russian population and across the world. Gastroenterological drugs will be available to a wide variety of patient age groups, according to Fabrice Egros, deputy CEO of NovaMedica. The partner company AptalisPharma developed and successfully introduced more than 40 medications in the field of gastroenterology that are widely sold in the United States, Canada, and the countries of the European Union.

Two companies Rusnano and Domain Associates established NovaMedica in 2012 in order to produce and market new pharmaceuticals made in accordance with the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
