Plant for the production of automobile engines

Moscow regional governor Anatoly Artamonov, the CEO of Volkswagen AG Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, and board member Dr. Michael Macht signed an agreement to build a plant in Kaluga for the construction of automotive engines.

The production facility will open in Technopark Grabtsevo in 2015. Its capacity will be 150,000 units annually. Petrol engines of 1.6 liters will be delivered to the company’s plant in Kaluga and the assembly line in Nizhny Novgorod. The cost of the project is planned at 250 million Euros.
