Polymetal buys Ovoca Gold deposit

PolymetalInt, the holding company of Polymetal, agreed with the Irish company Ovoca Gold PLC to acquire its 100-percent interest in Olympus, which holds the license for mining and exploration for gold and silver at the Olcha deposit for 775,000 ordinary shares of PolymetalInt, the company said. Audited statements of mineral resources, prepared in accordance with the Joint Ore Reserves Committee Code, indicate that the deposit contains 653 thousand ounces (18.5 metric tons) of gold in 9.2 million tons of ore at an average grade of 2.2 grams per ton of ore, with cut-off grade 1 gram per ton. In addition, the deposit contains 3.59 million ounces (101 tons) of silver.
