Privatization of 5 percent stake in Russian Rail

The privatization of a five-percent stake in the Russian Railways may be held in late 2013 in the form of IPO, said Deputy Transport Minister Alexei Tsydenov on the sidelines of the All-Russia Congress of Transport. When questioned as to the form and timing of the privatization package, Tsydenov said that it will likely be in the form of an IPO closer to the end of next year. Earlier, the Ministry had already discussed privatizing up to five percent of the infrastructure of state monopolies in 2013.
