Privatization of large energy companies

Russia’s Ministry of Economic Development plans to start privatizing large energy companies, such as Rosneft, FGC UES, and RusHydro, in 2012, Minister Elvira Nabiullina said on March 29.

“We hope to elaborate acceptable approaches to privatizing the country’s largest energy companies, such as Rosneft, FGC UES, and RusHydro, soon,” she said. “We plan that the privatization schemes for the said companies will be launched already this year.”
