Production in Russia is close to peak

Fitch Ratings said that Russia’s oil production is likely to reach its peak in the next few years, as the benefits from the development of new deposits offset the fall in production at mature fields. In 2012, the country has seen another record-level figure of oil production in the post-Soviet period, but further production growth will require a significant amount of seismic data from the continental shelf of Russia.
