Production of jewelry rose by 3.9 percent

The amount of stone-encrusted jewelry (with corundum and semi-precious stones) produced in Russia increased by 3.9 percent for the first seven months of 2012, compared to the same period of the previous year.

As such, a total of 5.2 million jewelry items were produced in Russia for the seven months.

The production of stone-encrusted jewelry grew by 14.6 percent in July compared to July of the previous year. Still, July figures reflected a 5.5 percent decrease in volume compared to the previous month of 2012.
