Retail trade turnover in Moscow for the 10 months of 2012 increased by 1.3 percent to 2.887 trillion roubles, said the Department of Economic Policy and Development of the Russian capital. “According to the report, in January-October 2012, the economy of the city expanded 0.45 percent compared to the same period of 2011. The industrial output of manufacturing industries fell by 1.1 percent, including by 4.5 percent in refining, by 51.2 percent in metallurgy, by 14.4 percent in pulp and paper production, and by 11.1 percent in the manufacture of electrical equipment, the report said. The value of services to the population increased three percent to 926.9 billion roubles.
