Nikolai Nikiforov, the Russia Communications Minister, scheduled a meeting with Steven VanRoekel, the American Chief Information Officer. Nikiforov posted on Twitter that he and VanRoekel decided that meetings will be conducted between IT experts from Russia and the U.S. for them to share their experience.

The IT agenda of both countries places into focus the development of information technology security. Both countries decided to adopt cloud technologies at governmental levels and also introduce electronic identity cards for their citizens.
