Russia exceeded military export plan

This year, Russia exceeded the plan to export military products, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation. This year, Russia has reached a record level of military products exports, the volume of which exceeded USD14 billion. Noting that the plan for the year was exceeded, the President called the results positive. President Putin also talked about a significant change in the system of military-technical cooperation. First and foremost, the change relates to the joint production of military products, as well as the advancement of multilateral efforts to restore Russia’s position in the market for upgrading and repair of military equipment. As the President said, the value of MTC contracts that Russia signed in 2012 is more than USD15 billion.
