Grain harvest in Russia may reach 94mn to 100mn metric tons, Arkady Zlochevsky, head of the Russian Grain Union, told a videoconference between Moscow, Astana, and Kiev on preparations for spring sowing.
This forecast is based on a positive estimate of the current condition of winter crops and active preparations for the spring campaign. Zlochevsky estimated damage to the winter crops at 6% or less than 1 ha (2 acres), which is lower than the usual annual average damage.
