Russia increases weapons production

Andrei Klepach, the Deputy Minister for Economic Development, has said that Russia plans increasing its weapons production substantially – by as much as 50 percent – in the period of years between 2014 and 2016. However, this will not change the defense industry’s share in the breakdown of overall revenues by economic sectors.

Klepach went on to add that even though the overall economic growth was slow, the defense sector was one of the most dynamic ones.
