Russian exports of coal for 10 months

In January-October 2012, Russian exports of coal went up by 18.2 percent compared with the same period of the previous year, increasing to 107.210 million tons from 90.685 million tons, according to the Federal Customs Service (FCS). Exports of coal to foreign countries stood at 97.520 million tons (up 18.4 percent), and to the C.I.S. countries at 9.690 million tons (up 16.9 percent). The total monetary value of coal shipments for the first nine months of the year increased 18.4 percent to USD10.882 billion. So far, foreign shipments increased by 19.3 percent over the previous year to USD9.665 billion, and to the C.I.S. countries by 11.8 percent to USD1.217 billion.
