Accrued Russian investment abroad reached $94.040bn as of late September 2011, the Federal Statistic Service said. Of that amount, direct investment accounts for $64.231bn, portfolio investment for $5.218bn and other investment for $24.591bn. The bulk of Russian investment went to the Netherlands ($26.149bn), Cyprus ($24.080bn), the United States ($8.015bn) and Switzerland ($6.905bn). From January to the end of September 2011, foreign investment withdrawn from Russia totaled $96.8bn, which is 73.2% more than in the same period of last year.
