Russia’s state-controlled electricity generating company RudHydro started its transition to an integrated fiscal management system based on the SAP ERP platform. The system is designed to allow for 1,500 users working at the company’s headquarters, as well as at its 19 branch offices across Russia. The system is to be implemented to make automatic the process of economic analysis and fiscal planning for the hydropower company. The system will also keep track of procurement, and provide for record-keeping in line with both Russian and international accounting standards. Additionally, the system will be designed to automate tax reporting. The SAP ERP system is to be set up through the Technoserv Consulting contractor, which is a company engaged in the field of IT consulting. The IT experts will coordinate RusHydro’s new system with the company’s current electronic system and its proprietary software. Additionally, the SAP ERP program will be integrated with the state portal for procurement, the company’s intranet, and its publicly-accessible Internet site.
