Russia’s largest shipping company SCF signed a loan agreement worth USD160 million for a period of 12 years with Finnvera PLC, Finnish Export Credit Ltd., and the ING Bank, the press service of the company reported.
The funds will be used to finance the construction of two new icebreaking supply vessels – the Vitus Bering and the Aleksey Chirikov, under construction at the Arctech Helsinki Oy shipyard. New vessels will ensure an uninterrupted supply to the Arkutun Dagi platform at the Sakhalin project within the framework of a long-term time-charter agreement with the company Exxon Neftegas Limited, according to SCF.
