In mid-June, the Skolkovo Fund that acts as the management company for building and setting up the Skolkovo R&D center in Moscow entered into an agreement with the American company Dow Chemical, providing for the U.S. corporation’s participation in constructing a scientific research center. The volume of investment that is expected to follow has not been disclosed yet.
According to the president of the Skolkovo Fund Victor Vekselberg, the R&D center that Dow Chemical would assist in building will serve as the headquarters for the company’s Russian branch. As such, the American company will develop its technologies with the involvement of Russian specialists and scientists.
As it follows from the agreement, Dow Chemical will concentrate on developing energy efficient technologies at the new center.
