Transaero Airlines and Virgin America signed a special pro-rate agreement (SPA), which will allow Transaero passengers flying from Moscow to continue their trip with Virgin America at connecting airports in Los-Angeles and New York. Virgin passengers traveling to Moscow will be able to continue their trips on Transaero jets.
The air fares on certain routes will be sold at lower prices, according to the agreement, and will bring more savings to the customers. Lower fares are offered on the following routes with connection in Los Angeles: Washington, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Dallas, Seattle, Portland, San Jose, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. Flights from Moscow to San Francisco and from New York to Las Vegas are also subjects to lower rates.
According to the sales director of Transaero Airlines, the signing of the interline and special pro-rate agreement with Virgin America is the Russian air carrier’s next step in further developing Transaero Airlines’ route network in North America. The airline’s passengers will undoubtedly appreciate the advantages of extended routes and new economic benefits of through fares. The sales director indicated that Transaero’s cooperation with Virgin America will be fruitful and mutually beneficial.
On the part of Virgin America, Adam Green, the director of network planning, said that the U.S.-based airline was pleased to launch an interline agreement with Transaero. According to Mr. Green, the agreement will give Transaero’s guests extensive new connections on Virgin America as they plan travel between Russia and North America. Virgin America’s teammates look forward to welcoming new Transaero guests on flights in the U.S.
