Metallurgical Plant UMMC-Steel in Tyumen continued the work on installing a section of a rolling mill to proceed with its plan to test the production line in the second quarter of 2013, the company said.

The annual capacity upon commissioning will reach 550 thousand tons. The mill is designed to produce hexagonal, round, square, flat, and rolled products, rebar, and other metal brackets. The project is being built at the steel plant in Tyumen, implemented as part of a cooperation agreement between UMMC and the government of the Tyumen region. The estimated project cost was about 22 billion roubles.
