USD900 million to be invested in Yugra

The entities holding the licenses to oil- and gas-bearing sites within the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district, also known as Yugra, intend to make USD908.2 million in monetary outlays for exploration and production activities in the year 2014. The news of these substantial investment commitments were shared by the governor of the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district Natalya Komarova during a conference with officials in Moscow and in Salekhard.

According to Governor Natalya Komarova, the Khanty-Mansiysk autonomous district has approximately 320 million metric tons of proven oil reserves. The figure, equivalent to about 2.35 billion barrels, was revised upward last year as a result of intensified exploration activities.
